Gift giving is not easy and especially in times of recession. Yet if we think of what a "gift from the heart" really means it brings us back to, wanting to touch another person with intent or to evoke an emotional response. If this is the case money holds less value and thought and time have more weight in the decision of a gift. There are many ways we can trigger emotional responses but my favorite way is by scent. Many of us can remember the scent or fragrance our mother or grandmother wore. Maybe it was lilac or rose and when we get a whiff it brings us a smile and happy thoughts along with a flood of memories. Maybe it is the smell of freshly baked cookies right from the oven.
In my classes for November and December (soon to be unvailed) I have tried to include some of those memory scent responses, that may be a perfect gift for you to give to others or keep for yourself this holiday season. I have only posted my November classes but December classes will be posted very soon. Check out the Holiday Helpers Class, on November 27th, 12-1:30pm, that includes making Winter Mint Lip Balm that will help you prevent chapped lips while providing minty freshness. The Christmas Lotion Bar are my favorite in providing the scent of the holiday season while protecting your hands from looking like alligator skin. The Candy Cane Bath Salts are sure to remind you of Christmas while adding a bliss to your bath tub. If you can't attend Holiday Helpers then the Winter Hand & Body Rescue, Tuesday, November 30th, 6-7:30pm is the class for you. With winter comes dryer skin and exfoliation seems to be much needed. Come learn how to make your own Holiday Exfoliation Scrub with a fresh holiday scent. Learn how to make lotion that will keep your hands looking and feeling soft. We won't neglect our cuticles with the Cuticle Rescue Balm that will round out our winter hand & body rescue class. In addition to these two fabulous and fun classes I've got a great Chritsmas Mint Cold Process Soap class, Tuesday, November 16th, 6-8pm, that will help you learn how to make your own natural soap to keep you clean and sure to be a gift pleaser this winter season.
Come create an intentional, "gift from the heart" that will be sure to evoke an emotional response for this holiday season for yourself and for someone else.
